Traffic Congestion Points on Jakarta's Arterial Roads This Morning

Several arterial roads in Jakarta experienced congestion at several points this morning, caused by high traffic volumes, including in West Jakarta. ‘The traffic conditions at the Cengkareng traffic light in West Jakarta, from Kalideres toward Daan Mogot, were observed to be busy and tending toward congestion,’ said TMC Polda Metro Jaya, via its official X account at 07:10 WIB, Thursday, 5 March 2026. Police also reported congestion in Central Jakarta this morning. The congestion occurred at the red light on Jl Galur, from Cempaka Putih toward Pasar Senen. Additionally, congestion was reported in East Jakarta at the red light Rindam, from Jl Pasar Rebo toward Jl Ranco Indah. Police were on site to handle the situation. ‘The latest traffic conditions at Traffic Light Rindam, from Jl Pasar Rebo toward Jl Ranco Indah, were observed to be busy and tending toward congestion,’ he said.
