Traffic congestion at Pancoran flyover causes Transjakarta bus delays
Jakarta — PT Transportasi Jakarta has reported that heavy traffic congestion on the Pancoran flyover in Jakarta (westbound direction) is causing delays for bus fleet services utilising that route.
The delayed bus fleets include corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti-Pluit), route 4K (Pulogadung-Attorney General’s Office), 5N (Kampung Melayu-Ragunan), 7D (TMII-Pancoran), 9A (Cililitan-Grogol), 9C (Senayan Roundabout-Pinang Ranti), 9D (Pasar Minggu-Tanah Abang), 13B (Puri Beta-Pancoran), and P11 (Bogor-Blok M).
“Traffic congestion has been caused by a broken-down truck and elf vehicle in the right lane. There are journey delays and potential bus accumulation before Pancoran station,” said Ayu Wardhani, head of the public relations and corporate social responsibility department at Transjakarta, on Monday in Jakarta.
She stated that field personnel are making operational adjustments to ease the armada’s delays.
Meanwhile, bus fleets travelling on Medan Merdeka Selatan have been diverted due to road closures in that area. Corridor 2 (Pulogadung-Monas) and route 2A (Rawa Buaya-Pulogadung) heading towards Pulogadung are currently not servicing Balai Kota and Gambir 2 stations.
Route 6A (Ragunan-Balai Kota via Kuningan) and 6B (Ragunan-Balai Kota via Semanggi) have been shortened to Ragunan-Kebon Sirih.
Route 1A (Pantai Maju-Balai Kota) has been shortened to Pantai Maju-Monas, and is temporarily not servicing Balai Kota station in that direction.
The Bus Wisata #JakartaExplorer Route BW2: Monas Explorer is temporarily not operating for passengers, whilst Route BW4: Skyscrapers has been rerouted to start from Juanda-Senayan Roundabout.
