Sukoharjo (ANTARA) - The Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho stated that the vehicle volume during the peak return flow for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday on Tuesday (24/3) reached 250,000 vehicles. “The peak return flow is 256,388 (vehicles). This is also the highest return flow in history because last year it was 223,163, so there is a 14.8 per cent increase,” he said in Sukoharjo, Central Java, on Wednesday. He also revealed that up to now, 58 per cent of vehicles have returned to Jakarta or about 1,958,000 vehicles. “This means that when Operation Ketupat ends tonight, there will be approximately 250,000 vehicles left for us to manage on the Trans-Java route heading to Jakarta. So, it is quite under control,” he said. It is known that Operation Ketupat 2026 lasted for 13 days, from 13 March to 25 March 2026, involving 161,243 combined personnel.
