The Head of the National Traffic Police (Kakorlantas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, directly monitored the traffic conditions during the 2026 Lebaran return flow. During this opportunity, Irjen Agus took firm action by reprimanding a three-axle truck that was still operating.

The incident occurred at the Pejagan toll gate, Central Java, on Thursday (26/3/2026). The reprimand was carried out to follow up on the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) restricting three-axle or more trucks during the Lebaran mudik or return flow.

It is known that the National Traffic Police (Korlantas) of Polri, together with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and the Ministry of Public Works (PU), have implemented operational restrictions on goods transport since 13 to 29 March 2026. The restrictions were made to alleviate the significant surge in vehicle volume during the mudik and return flow period.

“Where are you coming from?” asked Irjen Agus as he approached the truck.

The driver also apologised for still operating amid the three-axle vehicle restrictions. The driver said he was ordered by his company.

Irjen Agus then asked about the driver’s driving licence (SIM) completeness. After that, the truck was asked to turn back and return.

“Do you want to be fined?” asked Irjen Agus.

“No,” said the driver.

“But do you have your SIM?” Irjen Agus asked again.

“Yes, Sir,” said the driver.

“Just turn back,” said Irjen Agus. The truck then turned back and returned.

Furthermore, Polri urged logistics business owners to comply with the three-axle vehicle operation restrictions to maintain the smoothness of the return flow. Enforcement against violations has also been carried out in the field.

“Korlantas urges logistics business owners to comply with those regulations, and enforcement has been carried out against violating vehicles to prioritise the smoothness and safety of mudik participants,” said Irjen Agus.
