The decline in traffic accident figures during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr exodus and return flows has received positive attention from parliament. Member of the House of Representatives Commission III, Nasyirul Falah Amru, offered appreciation along with specific notes on the performance of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in overseeing this annual event.

The man commonly known as Gus Falah assessed that this achievement is the fruit of hard work by all police ranks in managing traffic flows, tightening supervision, and implementing various massive preventive measures in the field.

“This decline in accident figures demonstrates an improvement in performance and the seriousness of Polri in providing a sense of security to the public during the Eid exodus momentum,” stated Gus Falah in his remarks on Friday (27/3).

Nevertheless, Gus Falah emphasised that public safety must be the primary priority in every traffic security policy and action.

“Even one life is extremely valuable and must be protected. This is our collective responsibility,” he explained.

Therefore, Gus Falah reminded Polri ranks not to become complacent too quickly with the current statistics. He encouraged ongoing improvements and innovations in strategies to more significantly reduce accident figures in the future.

“We hope that Polri continues to enhance performance and innovation in traffic security, so that accident figures during next year’s Eid exodus and return can decrease further,” he said.
