Tradition of sharing soup porridge for breaking fast at Medan Grand Mosque

Staff at the Medan Grand Mosque Al-Mashun in North Sumatra prepared soup porridge for members of the public breaking their fast on Friday (20 February 2026).

The administrators of the Medan Grand Mosque are providing 1,500 free portions of bubur sup (soup porridge) per day for the community throughout the month of Ramadan 1447 H.

Residents were seen collecting the soup porridge for breaking their fast at the Medan Grand Mosque Al-Mashun, continuing a cherished tradition of communal charity during the holy month.
