Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Trade Minister Budi Santoso has praised Shopee Indonesia’s efforts to promote fee transparency in accordance with Trade Ministry Regulation No. 19 of 2026. The initiative is realised through the ‘My Programme Management’ feature, which is an important aspect in ensuring fair relationships between platforms, sellers, and consumers.

“In principle, transparency is what matters. Because with transparency, it is also being monitored. If it is not transparent, it means we are not monitoring,” Budi said at the launch of the Local Product Acceleration Programme with Shopee Indonesia at TMII, Jakarta, Thursday (13/8/2026).

He also said the government has a duty to maintain a healthy electronic trading ecosystem. The ecosystem involves three main elements: sellers, platforms, and consumers. Therefore, business actors, especially local ones, must have a good space in the digital ecosystem.

For this reason, Budi appreciated Shopee’s step in having the ‘My Programme Management’ feature for sellers. According to him, Shopee is able to carry out its function as a marketing place for local products and provide the best service to consumers.

Through the ‘My Programme Management’ feature, sellers can access various important information related to optional promotional programmes that are ongoing or that sellers can join, such as Free Shipping XTRA, Promo XTRA, Affiliate Marketing Solutions, and various other optional programmes. This page can be accessed by opening the Shopee Seller Centre website and application or in the Shopee application in the ‘My Shop’ column and then opening the ‘My Programme Management’ menu.

Trade Ministry Asks Other Platforms to Replicate Shopee’s Transparency

The Ministry of Trade also assesses that amid the increasing need for fee transparency in the digital trading ecosystem, the presence of the My Programme Management page can be one of the steps that can help business actors obtain better visibility of the various programmes they join.

“Thank you to Shopee for responding so quickly to Trade Ministry Regulation 19/2026. Almost everything mandated by the Trade Ministry (through Trade Ministry Regulation 19/2026) has been implemented. Not only providing incentives, not only facilitating certification, but there is also a My Programme Management dashboard as part of information transparency,” said Director General of Domestic Trade at the Trade Ministry, Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan, on the same occasion.

He also asked other platforms to follow Shopee’s steps regarding transparency to sellers. “Finally we discussed internally and it was realised by Shopee by creating this dashboard, and it is a very good thing and I think it can also be replicated by other platforms,” Iqbal concluded.

For information, the ‘My Programme Management’ feature is included in the Local Product Acceleration Programme series launched by Shopee together with the Trade Ministry to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic products in the digital ecosystem. In this programme, there are 6 new benefits for domestic sellers, including support for increasing sales through Local Business Acceleration Vouchers, and ease of managing global market access through the Shopee FLEXI Export Programme.

There are also opportunities to improve digital skills through the Shopee MSME Campus Online Class, transparency of programme management through My Programme Management, IP protection through the Brand IP Portal, and increased operational efficiency through Shopee-Managed services.

Through the Local Business Acceleration Programme, Shopee wants to present support that is increasingly relevant to the needs of sellers at every stage of their business development, from increasing sales and digital skills, opening access to global markets, increasing operational efficiency, to protecting IP and trademarks.

“We hope that these various supports can help local entrepreneurs become more competitive while strengthening the competitiveness of domestic products, so that Indonesian products can continue to be the main choice of consumers in the domestic market and become increasingly known in the global market,” concluded Deputy Director of Government Relations at Shopee Indonesia, Balques Manisang.

The benefits of data transparency and platform facilitation are directly felt by MSME sellers, one of whom is Umairah, owner of the Jakarta specialty souvenir business ‘Neng Mae’.

A business that has grown together with Shopee relies heavily on the dashboard feature in Shopee Seller Centre to make business decisions.

With a background in data analysis, Umairah utilises detailed raw data from the Shopee dashboard to read market trends and monitor peak purchase times. According to her, the data provided by Shopee is very easy to understand and helps map the direction of her shop’s development.

In addition to utilising the data transparency feature, she has also felt a positive impact after attending training at the Shopee MSME Campus a few months ago.

“From there we finally made many important decisions. Therefore, I hope other MSME friends can also utilise the existing features and become more data literate. Moreover, the data provided by Shopee is very easy to read and the facilities really help sellers to continue growing,” Umairah said.
