The Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, stated that the transition process for the single-door export of Indonesia’s leading commodities through PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) remains on track until the end of December 2026.

“I think it is good; everything is proceeding well, but we are still in a transition phase. We will wait until December,” Minister Budi said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Furthermore, he noted that his office is maintaining communication with PT DSI regarding the evaluation of the single-door export transition, which currently targets three main commodities: coal, palm oil, and ferroalloy.

“For now, it is still those three commodities. However, we are continuing our communications. The transition lasts until 31 December, so we will wait to see the overall performance,” Budi said.

“We are also continuously communicating to determine the most appropriate format. Currently, PT DSI is in the process of preparing itself,” he added.

PT DSI, which has been operational since 1 June 2026, was established following the implementation of the single-door export policy for strategic natural resources through an Export State-Owned Enterprise (SOE). This is regulated under Government Regulation (PP) Number 24 of 2026 concerning the Export Governance of Strategic Natural Resource Commodities.

The policy aims to strengthen control and supervision over exports and Export Proceeds from Natural Resources (DHE) of strategic commodities, drive economic growth, control inflation, stabilise exchange rates, and strengthen Indonesia’s bargaining position in export negotiations with buyers.

According to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, PT DSI has conducted an initial analysis of approximately 6,500 Export Goods Notifications (PEB), valued at over 14 billion USD and exceeding 90 million tonnes, destined for more than 100 countries. This process aims to build transaction visibility and identify data inconsistencies for review purposes after nearly three months of operation.

Subsequently, at the end of August 2026, an evaluation of Phase I—the transition period of the single-door strategic natural resource export policy via PT DSI—will be conducted by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs alongside relevant ministries and agencies to determine the implementation of the next phase.
