Jakarta – PT Tracon Industri has completed a strategic production well piping project in the Kamojang area, West Java. The project, located within PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk’s (PGE) operational area and entrusted to the company, was finished two months ahead of its scheduled target.

Through this project, PT Tracon Industri has supported PGE in ensuring optimal steam distribution to power generation facilities to maintain the nation’s clean electricity supply. Geothermal energy plays a significant role in Indonesia’s energy mix due to its stable 24-hour operation and low emissions.

Director of Operations and Business Wartono stated that the trust from PGE represents both a mandate and a concrete form of the company’s contribution to strengthening green energy. “We are committed to supporting energy transition through precise project execution. This success is also evidence of strong synergy among all parties to collectively drive Indonesia’s acceleration towards Net Zero Emission targets,” Wartono said on 15 March 2026.

He explained that technically, PT Tracon Industri carried out the construction of new pipeline routes connecting production well KMJ-19/5 to Mainline PL-405 and KMJ-30/3 to Mainline PL-403. The scope of work encompassed all stages from detailed engineering design, material procurement, field construction, to commissioning and SKPP (Equipment Fitness Certificate) certification.

“Project execution involved more than 30 technical experts in piping and energy construction. The pipeline route was designed to engineering standards and using Pipe Stress Analysis methodology to be capable of delivering steam at a Maximum Continuous Rate of up to 150 tonnes per hour,” he added.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Area Kamojang, I Made Budi Kesuma Adi Putra, assessed that Tracon Industri demonstrated high professionalism and a thorough understanding of PGE’s operational standards in this project. “Economically, the accelerated project completion certainly provides direct positive impact on PGE Area Kamojang’s operations and reduces potential Loss Production Opportunity (LPO),” he said.

PT Tracon Industri’s performance was underpinned by the application of strict quality and workplace safety standards throughout the implementation process. “All work stages were executed through careful planning with the preparation of a comprehensive HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Plan, Quality Plan, and detailed work procedures. This has become our culture and part of how we work, to ensure every project is carried out in accordance with regulations, with the best safety and quality standards,” Wartono explained.
