TPS Surabaya Operates New Container Scanners for Export-Import Lanes
PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (PSL) and PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS), as part of the Pelindo Group, are strengthening their synergy to support increased security, transparency, and integrity within the port ecosystem. This synergy is realised through the provision and operation of container scanning services at the Surabaya Container Terminal.
The utilisation of this container scanning technology is designed to create a more modern, integrated, and efficient customs inspection process. This step simultaneously maintains the security and smooth flow of national logistics.
Following a cooperation agreement signed on Friday (25/09/202<0xA0>26), PT PSL is providing two container scanner units along with their supporting systems, positioned at the Surabaya Container Terminal for both import and export lanes. In addition to the physical provision of the equipment, this collaboration includes information technology integration, equipment maintenance, and the provision of support personnel to ensure operational reliability and service security. The presence of these facilities directly supports container inspections conducted by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise and strengthens the supervision of both import and export goods flows within the port area.
The President Director of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, Faruq Hidayat, stated that the implementation of this container scanning technology is a tangible manifestation of synergy between Pelindo Group entities to strengthen the quality of port services, transparency, and the accountability of the inspection process.
