Surabaya, East Java - PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) has become the shipping hub for three locomotive underframes produced by PT INKA (Persero) bound for Australia, completing a total export of 16 units from the order.

“Handling this locomotive underframe shipment demonstrates our readiness to manage special cargo with high operational standards and solid collaboration among relevant parties,” said Acting Senior Manager of Management System and Commercial at TPS, Indriana Susilowati, in Surabaya on Wednesday.

Previously, PT INKA (Persero) had shipped locomotive underframes via TPS in multiple phases, including two units in February 2025 as the initial shipment, followed by the export of 13 units throughout 2025. With the addition of these three units, the total number shipped via TPS now stands at 16.

Additionally, TPS offers extensive international shipping access and is located relatively close to PT INKA (Persero)’s production facility in Madiun, supporting overall logistics efficiency.

The shipped products are locomotive underframes, classified as Uncontainerized (UC) or Out of Gauge (OOG) cargo, requiring specialised handling from planning to terminal loading.

Australia’s confidence in PT INKA (Persero) is due to guaranteed product quality, competitive pricing, and responsive after-sales service.

As a container terminal, TPS ensures equipment readiness and competent human resources to support safe, efficient, and standards-compliant shipping processes.
