Toyota Veloz Hybrid: Sales Up 80%, Three-Month Lead Time
Jakarta — PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) has claimed that consumer interest in the Toyota Veloz Hybrid has continued to grow since its initial public introduction. This is evidenced by total bookings from November 2025 to February 2026 reaching at least 6,500 units, representing an increase of up to 80 percent compared with the performance of the petrol or conventional Veloz. Unfortunately, not all orders can be fully fulfilled yet, as unit deliveries to customers are proceeding gradually. According to Ernando, the distribution of the Veloz Hybrid began only in the last week of February 2026. Therefore, most customers still face waiting lines for delivery. ‘We started distribution in the last week of February. Our target is to clear the 6,500 orders by around April 2026,’ Ernando said. In the initial phase, Toyota aims to deliver around 2,000 units to customers before the Lebaran exodus period, or about 30.7 percent of the total. Although distribution has begun, customers who placed orders currently face a lead time of about 2-3 months. For information, the Veloz Hybrid is marketed in several variants in Indonesia. For the V Hybrid EV variant, the price is Rp 308 million, but under the special ‘Hybrid EV for All’ programme it is Rp 303 million through the first half of 2026. Meanwhile, the Q Hybrid EV variant is priced from Rp 325 million, with the top-tier Q Hybrid EV TSS Modellista at Rp 385 million and Rp 389 million for two-tone colour options. All prices are on the road in Jakarta, with an additional Rp 1.5 million for premium colours.
