Toyota GR Car Meet 2026: Senayan Parking Area Becomes a Stage for Toyota Enthusiasts from Various Generations

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Rows of classic and modern Toyota vehicles filled every corner of the East Parking area of the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (16/5/2026). The aroma of tyres, music, and conversations among automotive enthusiasts blended together, creating a unique atmosphere reminiscent of the car culture of the 1990s.

Among the hundreds of cars on display, visitors were busy taking photos and videos, discussing, and reminiscing about Toyota models that were once very popular.

This atmosphere was palpable at the Toyota GR Car Meet 2026, organised by PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM). The event, which is touted as the largest Toyota automotive community festival in Indonesia, featured more than 400 Toyota show cars from various modification styles, ranging from racing cars, stance, off-road, campervans, daily use vehicles, to the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) line.

This event became a gathering place for automotive enthusiasts, Toyota communities, modifiers, and automotive curators. A total of 21 communities under the Toyota Owners Club (TOC) participated, along with several collaboration partners such as Toyota GAZOO Racing Indonesia (TGRI), Toyota Nation, and various other automotive communities.

Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Hiroyuki Oide, said that the Toyota GR Car Meet 2026 was not just a car exhibition, but a space for sharing passion and excitement among Toyota users. According to him, Toyota wants to show that every car owner has a different way of enjoying their vehicle according to their character, lifestyle, and passion.

“As the largest Toyota car meet event in Indonesia, this event is a platform to share passion and excitement with fellow Toyota car enthusiasts, as well as representing Toyota’s support for car culture and the creative automotive industry in Indonesia,” said Oide.
