Tourism Ministry Strengthens #DiIndonesiaAja Campaign via BBWI 3B Forum
The Ministry of Tourism is reinforcing the national #DiIndonesiaAja campaign to promote Indonesian tourism through the Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia (BBWI) forum, highlighting the strategic Buleleng–Jembrana–Banyuwangi (3B) area encompassing North Bali, West Bali, and Banyuwangi. “We hope this forum becomes a platform for business transactions and partnerships between sellers and tour package arrangers, creating attractive tourism products ready for the June–July school holiday momentum,” said Deputy for Marketing at the Tourism Ministry, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday. Made explained that the BBWI 3B Table Top Forum is a strategy to address Bali’s main tourism challenge: the high concentration of tourist visits in South Bali. Through this activity, the flow of visits is expected to be more evenly distributed so that the economic benefits of tourism can be directly felt by communities in Buleleng, Jembrana, and Banyuwangi. This initiative is a concrete step to encourage equitable distribution of tourist visits, strengthen inter-regional connectivity, and build a quality, inclusive, and sustainable tourism ecosystem. Meanwhile, domestic tourist movement continues to show a positive trend. In the first half of 2026, 417.06 million domestic tourist trips were recorded, an increase of 1.48 percent compared to the same period the previous year. This growth is an important asset for expanding the distribution of tourism’s economic benefits to various regions with great potential that have not yet developed optimally, such as North Bali, West Bali, and Banyuwangi. The forum, held on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, in Denpasar, Bali, brought together tourism businesses from the 3B area with travel agents and tour operators. Through a table top format, the activity was designed to introduce the potential of destinations and the tourism industry in the three regions, expand business networks, and open opportunities for more concrete and sustainable cooperation. Assistant Deputy for Domestic Tourism Marketing at the Tourism Ministry, Erwita Dianti, said the activity was attended by 30 curated tourism businesses representing the accommodation, tourism services, and leading tourist village sectors. The BBWI Buleleng–Jembrana–Banyuwangi Table Top Forum is also part of the implementation of the Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia campaign strategy to increase domestic tourist trips and support the achievement of the 1.2 billion domestic tourist trip target in 2026. Specifically, this activity is directed at increasing travel during the school holiday period through the promotion of various quality alternative tourism products and packages. This effort simultaneously serves as a solution to distribute tourist visits so they are not concentrated in South Bali. “The potential transactions generated from this activity are estimated to reach Rp3.67 billion, with potential bookings for products, tour packages, and accommodation for 6,830 people,” she said.
