Tourism Minister urges BBTF to foster more tourism partnerships

Badung (ANTARA) - Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana has urged the Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2026 to foster more tourism partnerships. “I hope BBTF will create more partnerships, generate tangible business opportunities, and expand travel patterns beyond Bali to destinations across Indonesia,” she said while opening the event in Badung Regency, Bali, on Thursday. The Tourism Minister has high hopes for BBTF, as the travel exhibition has been a crucial platform for Indonesia’s tourism industry over the past 12 years. This year, the event connected 407 international and domestic buyers from 44 countries with 286 sellers, aiming to foster partnerships, create opportunities, and showcase Indonesia’s tourism potential globally. To foster more partnerships at the exhibition, the Tourism Minister urged Indonesian tour package sellers to present the country with confidence, creativity, and professionalism. “To international buyers, I invite you – tour package sellers – not only to sell Indonesia but also to help shape a new generation of travel experiences. Bali has opened its doors; now is the time for us to move further together,” she added. Although the exhibition is in Bali, the government wants international travel industry players to see Indonesia’s other beauties – over 17,000 islands with hundreds of cultures, biodiversity, rich culinary traditions, historical spice routes, and warm hospitality.
