Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana conducted site visits to numerous tourist destinations to strengthen promotion and ensure readiness ahead of the Nyepi and Lebaran 2026 holidays.

During this activity, the Tourism Minister conducted direct inspections of various destinations to ensure the readiness of tourism area management and encourage wider promotion.

“We conducted inspections at 165 sites, carried out by myself, Deputy Minister, our deputies, the tourism polytechnic, and authority bodies under the Ministry of Tourism,” she stated.

According to her, this step was crucial to directly assess the preparedness of tourism destination managers alongside regional governments and other stakeholders.

The inspections focused on cleanliness, security, comfort, and safety aspects to provide quality tourism experiences.

Widiyanti also noted that President Prabowo Subianto had previously emphasised the importance of direct site visits to tourism destinations and strengthening promotion of Indonesia’s tourism potential on a large scale.

During a visit to the Blok M area, the Tourism Minister invited finalists from the Abang-None Jakarta 2025 competition to promote the capital’s tourism attractions.

Among the sites visited were Taman Bendera Pusaka, M Bloc Space, Taman Literasi, and the Melawai area, known as a culinary hub.

According to Widiyanti, the area exemplifies how urban spaces can develop into attractive tourism destinations, particularly for tourists seeking urban tourism experiences.

“For people who want to visit Jakarta, especially South Jakarta, there are many interesting destinations and activities to visit,” she said.

Additionally, tourists can obtain travel information and inspiration through Indonesia’s official tourism promotion website.

“Not littering is one effort to maintain tourism comfort; let us together preserve the cleanliness of tourist destinations. Share positive content about Indonesia, as the government needs public support to promote quality and sustainable Indonesian tourism,” Widiyanti said.
