Bali (ANTARA) - Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana has appreciated all parties for their dedication and efforts in providing optimal services to tourists, particularly in Bali, throughout the holiday period of Nyepi Day and Lebaran 2026.

“We highly appreciate the TNI, Police, ASN, and all tourism industry players who have provided excellent services to tourists during their stay in Bali over the Lebaran and Nyepi holidays,” the Minister stated in an official statement received in Jakarta on Friday.

The Minister hopes that the best services can continue to be provided during the remaining Lebaran holiday period or the ongoing return flow of travellers until the end of the weekend.

This includes at Ngurah Rai International Airport, one of the main gateways to national tourism.

The Minister also inspected the service flow in the self check-in area and the Garuda Indonesia check-in counters.

From her observations, the Minister appreciated the airport management for their efforts in alleviating passenger congestion during the return flow period.

In addition to directly interacting with tourists, Widiyanti then visited Sarinah, a showcase presenting a curated selection of local products ranging from traditional textiles, crafts, to UMKM cuisine that can serve as souvenirs.

For domestic tourist visits, Widiyanti mentioned that there was a 13.4 per cent increase in the number of passengers during the same period, amounting to 358,356 people.

The highest number of domestic flights occurred on H-4 Lebaran (17 March 2026) with 205 flights and 32,337 passengers, and on H-3 Lebaran (18 March 2026) with 205 flights and 31,657 passengers.

Post-Lebaran on H+2 (24 March 2026), there was a 23.3 per cent increase in domestic flights to 212 flights with a total of 33,782 passengers.
