Tourism Investment Grows by Double Digits

Investment in Indonesia’s tourism sector grew at a double-digit pace in the first half of 2026, far exceeding the growth rate of national investment overall. Realised tourism investment reached Rp 39.68 trillion, marking a 16.64% increase year-on-year, while total investment grew by 7.2%. This investment growth occurred amidst a rise in tourist visits to various destinations across Indonesia. The Ministry of Tourism assessed that this trend has bolstered the sector’s attractiveness to investors.
