Tourism in Pontianak

I fully agree that even without the prestigious project of the
Garuda Kencana monument, Bali is well-known to foreign tourists
for its natural beauty and sociocultural activities. The behavior
of the Balinese and their religious activities are old traditions
which strongly attract tourists.

As far as Pontianak in West Kalimantan is concerned, something
should be initiated to attract tourists, perhaps in the form of
building an "Equatorial Monument". The people of Pontianak are
also friendly to tourists, which is an asset to the region. To
make Pontianak a remarkable tourist destination would be one way
to further implement the "development trilogy" which includes
equity of development programs for all provinces. Each province
has its own uniqueness to offer to tourists.
