Total of 65 District Prosecutors Reassigned, Including Karo District Prosecutor

Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin has carried out a rotation and reassignment of 65 district prosecutors (Kajari), including the Karo district prosecutor.

The reassignment and rotation are contained in Attorney General’s Decree Number KEP-IV-347/C/04/2026 dated 13 April 2026. The decree was signed by Deputy Attorney General for Development Hendro Dewanto.

“It is true (there is a reassignment),” said Head of the Public Relations Centre for the Attorney General’s Office Anang Supriatna to reporters.

Anang stated that the reassignment-rotation is carried out to strengthen the institution in support of prosecutors’ duties. He noted that it is a common practice to support organisational performance.

“Reassignment is a common matter and is continuously carried out by ministries/institutions. Of course, the content includes reassignments, promotions, and demotions,” he explained.

In the reassignment, one of those replaced is the Karo district prosecutor from Danke Rajagukguk to Edmond Novvery Purba.

“For the Karo district prosecutor, Ms Danke has been reassigned diagonally, meaning she is not in a structural position but in a functional position for now,” he explained.

Danke Rajagukguk had previously come under spotlight due to the alleged corruption case of village profile video budget that implicated videographer Amsal Christy Sitepu. Danke and her team are currently being clarified by the Attorney General’s Office regarding the handling of the Amsal Sitepu case.

“While waiting for the results of the internal examination of the person concerned,” he said.

In addition to district prosecutor positions, the decree also includes reassignments and rotations of several Heads of Subdirectorates to Assistants within the Attorney General’s Office.
