The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, stated that a total of 21,000 motorcycles have already been realised from the 2025 budget allocation for the Heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG). Dadan conveyed this in response to a video circulating on social media showing several motorcycles with the BGN logo, which has sparked various speculations among the public. Dadan also clarified the information spreading on social media regarding the procurement of up to 70,000 units, emphasising that such reports are untrue. “The information about 70,000 units is not true. The total realisation of electric motorcycles is 21,801 units out of 25,000 units ordered for 2025,” said Dadan in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/4). Dadan explained that the procurement of these motorcycles is part of the 2025 budget planning and is intended to support the operations of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG), particularly for SPPG heads. “The procurement of these motorcycles is indeed included in the 2025 budget. Their function is to support the operations of SPPG heads,” he stated. Dadan assured that the motorcycles have not yet been distributed to the relevant parties. According to him, the available vehicles must still undergo administrative processes as State Goods (BMN) before they can be used. “The motorcycles have not been distributed. Once everything is complete, they will first be recorded as BMN before distribution,” he explained. Furthermore, the realisation of the motorcycle procurement process began gradually in December 2025. He asked the public not to be easily influenced by unverified information and to understand that this procurement is part of the government’s efforts to ensure the smooth implementation of the MBG Programme throughout Indonesia. The content circulating on social media shows electric motorcycles with the BGN logo wrapped in plastic. This has not yet been confirmed as true, so the public is advised not to immediately share unconfirmed information.
