The development of the industrial area in Morowali Regency is once again showing its humane face. Through its corporate social responsibility programme, Huabao Indonesia has inaugurated three mosques in villages surrounding the industrial area, with a total investment of Rp11 billion.

The three places of worship are located in Tondo Village, Ambunu Village, and Topogaro Village. The inauguration was carried out directly by the Regent of Morowali, Iksan Baharuddin Abdul Rauf, as a form of support for the synergy between industry and society, on Wednesday (18/3).

Vice Director of Huabao Indonesia, Gao Chunhua, stated that the construction of these mosques is part of the company’s commitment to implementing a CSR programme that not only focuses on the economy but also on the social and spiritual life of the surrounding community.

According to her, the presence of industry must go hand in hand with the development of cultural and religious values. She emphasised the importance of harmonious relations between the company, government, and society as the main foundation for the success of the industrial area.

Regent Iksan Baharuddin Abdul Rauf appreciated the step and assessed that the construction of the mosques is tangible proof that industrial investment can provide significant social impacts. He also invited all parties to continue strengthening collaboration in developing the region.

“This development shows that industrial progress is not only about the economy but also touches on social and religious aspects,” he said.

The presence of these three new mosques is expected to improve community comfort in worship and strengthen the value of togetherness.

The inauguration of Masjid Nurul Hasanah in Tondo Village also serves as a symbol that industrial development in Morowali contributes to the sustainable spiritual development of the community.
