Total Aid of 1,624.32 Tonnes Distributed to NTT Earthquake Victims
Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Suharyanto stated that earthquake aid in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) that has been distributed reached 1,624.32 tonnes. The aid is the total assistance from both government and private sectors.
“Currently, the real figure at the Labuan Bajo logistics post is 1,624.23 tonnes, which today has been distributed in total to Manggarai, East Manggarai Regency, West Manggarai, and Ngada,” said Suharyanto during a press conference viewed on BNPB’s YouTube channel on Monday (24/8/2026).
Meanwhile, aid received through the national post at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport was recorded at 1,225 tonnes. This national post figure already includes the total data.
“As of today, we report that logistics entering Flores have reached 1,225 tonnes, divided into two shipments: 869 tonnes by sea and 356 tonnes for Maumere,” he said.
“In addition to logistics that can be sent from Halim, there is also aid from the government, private sector, individuals, or other parties that goes directly to the island of Flores without passing through the national post at Halim Perdanakusuma. This is also permitted, so the data differs from what is sent from the Halim post,” he added.
Suharyanto also mentioned that there are scattered post locations so that aid can be directly received by the community.
“For the Maumere forward post, 375.9 tonnes have come in and 258.5 tonnes have gone out. There is a buffer stock that we have just checked, and it has become standard procedure not to keep it for too long,” he said.
“It is stocked at the post locations in the warehouses of Maumere and Labuan Bajo so that it can be immediately sent to affected communities,” he added.
