Tosummit gets ISO certificate

JAKARTA (JP): PT Tosummit Electronic Devices Indonesia, an affiliate of Japan's Toshiba Cooperation, has received an International Standards Organization (ISO) 9002 certification from the international certification body Bureau Veritas Quality International.

The company, which produces the Color Picture Tube (CPT) for color television, has been awarded the certification for its quality management system.

PT Tosummit is a joint venture company of Japan's Toshiba and Summitomo, Tabung Gambar Indonesia (TGI), and Orion.

The company, whose factory is located in Cikarang, West Java, said that it has produced more than one million CPT to be sold on the local and international market since it was established in 1995. (gis)
