Tosari's investment in PT QSAR

From Warta Kota

News is currently circulating about the funds invested by
Tosari Widjaya (deputy secretary-general of the United
Development Party) in the Rp 5 billion PT QSAR scandal. Is it
surprising to society?

The incident will just make the public more critical so that
in the future (particularly 2004) it will not easily be
influenced by superficiality. So many appearances mislead
evaluation, what originally seemed great turns out to be
deceptive.

Parties prove to be incapable of educating people to make them
wiser. They bring cadres to power in the interests of their
groups instead of serving as true representatives of the
populace. This is reflected in the legislative elite's behavior,
from the House level down to the regional legislature.

In the case of the investment believed to have been derived
from the party treasury, the political elite in the relevant
party will certainly seek to make the least sacrifice for the
organization's safety to avoid disqualification by the elections
law in force.
