Top three national secretaries general deepen cybersecurity knowledge in South Korea
Three secretaries general (Sekda) who received the ASKOMPSI Digital Leadership Government Award (ADLGA) 2025 have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of cybersecurity systems in Seoul, South Korea, as a form of appreciation for their achievements in digital transformation. Chairman of the All-Indonesia Provincial Communication and Informatics Association (ASKOMPSI), Muhammad Faisal, in Samarinda on Wednesday, stated that the three Sekda are Sri Wahyuni (East Kalimantan), Arry Yuswadi (West Sumatra), and Fenny Apridawati (Sidoarjo). “The Sekda are not only attending classical learning but also conducting field observations at the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA),” Faisal said. The programme is a collaboration between ASKOMPSI and the global cybersecurity company LSWare. “We want these leaders to see directly how South Korea builds its cybersecurity defence system,” he added. During their time in Seoul, the Indonesian delegation received materials from several experts, including Kim Hyun Soo (R&D Team Leader, LSWare), Hwang Jin Soon (Regional Manager, Axgate), Chung Dong Hae (Global Business Director, WaterWall Systems), Jason Lee (Global Business Leader, PioLink), and Jae Ho Jeong (Everyzone). “If leaders have a strong understanding of digital and information security, then digital transformation in the regions will proceed more safely and measurably,” he stated. East Kalimantan Sekda Sri Wahyuni expressed being impressed with the materials provided and hopes that similar programmes can be expanded. “This knowledge is important and is expected to be expanded in the future through more flexible learning patterns so that the benefits are felt more widely,” she said. The programme is fully supported by LSWare as part of efforts to strengthen human resource capacity in the digital field. The activity is expected to encourage local governments to prioritise cybersecurity in developing electronic-based government systems.
