Top! Sinar Mas Land Holds Affordable Cooking Oil Bazaar in Banten and Bogor
Sinar Mas Land is organising a bazaar for affordable cooking oil to help the public meet their basic needs. This activity is held in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Banten, Tangerang Regency Government, South Tangerang City Government, and Bogor City Government.
The cooking oil bazaar is being held at several locations, including Masjid Al-Bantani (Serang City), the Pondok Aren Sub-District Office (South Tangerang City), the Tangerang Regency Government Office, Kota Wisata Cibubur, and Rancamaya Bogor. A total of 15,000 litres of Filma brand cooking oil is being distributed to 7,500 beneficiaries consisting of local residents and several Sinar Mas Land partners.
At the bazaar, the cooking oil is sold at Rp15,000 per litre, which is lower than the market price for premium cooking oil. Each beneficiary can purchase a maximum of two litres of cooking oil to ensure even distribution among the public.
Banten Governor Andra Soni stated that during Ramadan, demand for various basic needs typically increases.
“Therefore, the Ramadan bazaar is one strategic step to maintain balance between supply and demand while helping the public obtain basic needs at more affordable prices. This activity also embodies collaboration between the government, SOEs, regional SOEs, businesses, and SMEs to maintain price stability and ensure the public can meet their needs ahead of the holiday with greater peace of mind,” he said, quoted on Wednesday (18/3/2026).
Meanwhile, Tangerang Regent Mochamad Maesyal Rasyid stated that the Cooking Oil Bazaar is being held to help alleviate the burden on the public and increase purchasing power by providing various basic needs at prices far cheaper than market rates.
“The beneficiaries are residents living around the Tangerang Regency Government Office. In addition to cooking oil, this activity also provides rice packages, chicken meat, and beef at more affordable prices. The month of Ramadan is a month full of mercy, forgiveness, and blessings. Let us go through this holy month with full happiness and increase our care and service to the community,” he explained.
Managing Director of the President Office of Sinar Mas Land, Dony Martadisata, added that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to supporting food availability while easing the burden on the public amid rising household needs during Ramadan, especially around Sinar Mas Land development projects.
“The holy month of Ramadan is a good momentum for sharing and helping one another. We understand that public household needs tend to increase during Ramadan. Through this activity, we hope to help ease the burden on the public while strengthening good relations between the company and the surrounding community,” he emphasised.
On the same occasion, Sinar Mas Land through the Yayasan Muslim Sinar Mas Land also distributed endowments of 300 copies of the Al-Quran to several mosques and prayer rooms in the Rancamaya area.
“In the future, Sinar Mas Land will continue to present various social programmes that provide real benefits to the community around the company’s operational areas,” Dony concluded.
