PT PP (Persero) Tbk has once again recorded a significant achievement by securing a strategic infrastructure project for the construction of the Pulau Laut Bridge in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan Province.

The project is being executed through a Joint Operation (JO) scheme, with PTPP as the lead contractor holding a 50% share, as part of the 2026-2028 development programme aimed at improving inter-regional connectivity in South Kalimantan.

The contract signing for the project took place on Monday, 30 March 2026, at the Hall of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of South Kalimantan Province in Banjarbaru.

The signing was conducted by the Head of the South Kalimantan Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, M. Yasin Toyib, together with the service provider, and witnessed by the Governor of South Kalimantan H. Muhidin, the Chairman of the South Kalimantan DPRD H. Supian HK, the Provincial Secretary of South Kalimantan, the Regent of Tanah Bumbu, the Regent of Kotabaru, and the Director of Operations for Infrastructure at PTPP, Yul Ari Pramuraharjo.

This multi-year scheme project has a construction implementation period of 1,005 calendar days and a maintenance period of 730 calendar days. The acquisition of this project further strengthens PTPP’s portfolio in the infrastructure sector, particularly in regional connectivity development, while affirming the company’s capabilities as a lead contractor on large-scale projects.

Overall, the construction of the Pulau Laut Bridge is a strategic project supported by financing from various parties. The bridge, located in Batulicin Subdistrict, Tanah Bumbu Regency, is expected to improve accessibility between Kalimantan Island and Pulau Laut.

The presence of this infrastructure will streamline logistics distribution, enhance community mobility, and drive economic growth in the area, particularly in Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru Regencies.

PTPP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo stated that the acquisition of this JO project serves as an important momentum for the company to continue contributing to national infrastructure development.

“The acquisition of this project is proof of the ongoing trust given to PTPP in handling strategic infrastructure projects, especially as the lead contractor. We are committed to ensuring this project runs according to targets, both in terms of quality, time, and work safety aspects, so that it can provide optimal benefits to the community,” he said, quoted from a written statement on Friday (10/4/2026).

Furthermore, PTPP emphasised that its contribution to the Pulau Laut Bridge development aligns with the spirit of Asta Cita, particularly efforts to equalise infrastructure development and improve inter-regional connectivity, which directly impacts economic growth and community welfare.

“This demonstrates how PTPP’s involvement in infrastructure projects supports the realisation of an inclusive and sustainable national development vision,” he concluded.
