Top post transfer set for Jan. 25
JAKARTA (JP): City Police headquarters has tentatively scheduled Jan. 25 for Maj. Gen. Mochammad Hindarto to formally step down as Jakarta Police Chief and make way for his deputy Brig. Gen. Dibyo Widodo.
The transfer of post ceremony to be held at the City Police Traffic Directorate on Jl. Gatot Subroto in Central Jakarta will be presided over by National Police Chief Gen. Banurusman.
Hindarto, 56, is to prepare for retirement.
Dibyo, born in Purwokerto, Central Java 48 years ago, has been his deputy for the last four months. Formerly, he was the deputy chief for the Nusa Tenggara police for one year.
He is a graduate of the Police Academy, the Police Science College, the School for Staff and Senior Police Officers and the National Defense Institute.
Another important position he held previously was as adjutant to President Soeharto between 1986 and 1992. (bsr)
