Top drivers join Palembang rally

JAKARTA (JP): More than 45 national top drivers will enter the third leg of the national rally championships series in Palembang, South Sumatra at the end of this month.

National championship runaway leader Tony Hardianto, Ledi Kurnadi, Dolly Indra Nasution and Tommy Soeharto are among those who will pit their driving skills along the grueling 706- kilometer field. The two-day race will include 15 special stages held along rubber and palm oil plantations.

A number of drivers have observed the special sections before the race's flag-off on July 30. The rally will start and finish at Bumi Sriwijaya sports hall. (amd)
