• Iran Says No Deal with US Until Rights Guaranteed

Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, warned that the United States (US) cannot be trusted. Ghalibaf stated that Tehran would not approve any agreement with Washington until the rights of the Iranian people are fully guaranteed.

“We will not agree to any deal until we are certain that the rights of the Iranian people are upheld,” Ghalibaf declared in a video broadcast by Iranian state television, as reported by AFP on Monday, 1 June 2026.

Ghalibaf, who also serves as Iran’s parliament speaker, added that Iranian negotiators “do not trust the enemy’s words or promises.”

• US Strikes Iranian Radar and Drone Command Centre, Claims Self-Defence

The United States (US) announced its forces had attacked Iranian radar and drone command centres in the Gourk and Qeshm Island areas, with Washington claiming the strike was a “defensive action”.

The latest US attack, reported by AFP and Anadolu Agency on Monday, 1 June 2026, was announced by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees American military operations in the Middle East.

“US Central Command carried out a self-defence strike against Iranian radar and drone command and control facilities in Gourk, Iran, and Qeshm Island over the weekend,” CENTCOM stated on social media platform X on Sunday, 31 May 2026.

• Iran Targets US Airbase After Its Territory Is Attacked

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its forces targeted a US airbase used for attacks on Iranian territory early on Monday, 1 June 2026. The IRGC claimed all designated targets were destroyed in the retaliatory strike.

The specific location of the US airbase targeted, as reported by AFP and Anadolu Agency on Monday, 1 June 2026, was not specified by the IRGC in its statement, which was broadcast by IRIB television and other Iranian state media.

An Iranian military general warned that US President Donald Trump has no good options regarding Iran, stating he must choose between a “bad” or “worse” path.

The warning, reported by Press TV on Monday, 1 June 2026, was made by Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, Deputy for Political Affairs at the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

“Trump, whose defeat in the war is clear to all, now faces two paths forward: a bad one or a worse one,” Javani stated in a speech on Saturday, 30 May 2026.
