- Learning Activities Prioritised as Face-to-Face
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno stated that teaching and learning activities remain prioritised in offline or face-to-face mode. According to him, the offline learning process must be optimised even amid the global crisis situation.
“Do not let learning loss occur. Therefore, the implementation of the learning process is prioritised to continue offline for students,” said Pratikno in his written statement on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.
The online learning issue arose following President Prabowo Subianto’s cabinet meeting at the State Palace on Friday, 13 March. In that meeting, the President encouraged measures to save fuel consumption due to the global geopolitical situation.
- BGN Forms Special Unit to Monitor Certification in SPPG
The National Nutrition Agency or BGN has formed a special unit tasked with monitoring the implementation of certifications in all public kitchens for free nutritious meals. Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana stated that the policy is part of President Prabowo Subianto’s message to improve the quality of implementation and services of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG).
The supervision by the special unit in the initial stage focuses on the completeness of three main certifications that each free nutritious meal kitchen must have. The three are hygiene and sanitation fitness certificates, halal certificates, and hazard analysis critical control point certificates.
“The completeness of certifications will serve as the benchmark in determining the classification or grading of SPPG,” said Dadan in his statement, quoted on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.
