Tomorrow's Fit and Proper Test: List of 10 Presidential Candidates for OJK Chief Selected by Prabowo
Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has submitted a list of 10 candidates for membership of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to the House of Representatives for a fitness and propriety assessment before Commission XI on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
This was disclosed by the chairman of Commission XI of the House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun, referring to a presidential letter numbered R-09 dated 9 March 2026.
“There are 10 names that have been submitted to us, and these are for a five-year period in accordance with the presidential letter delivered to the leadership of the House of Representatives,” said Misbakhun at the House of Representatives building in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
Misbakhun explained that the 10 names were selected from a total of 20 candidates who have passed the administrative screening conducted by the OJK selection panel. Five candidates will ultimately be selected based on the fitness and propriety test results to fill five seats on the OJK board of commissioners.
“The 10 names are to fill five portfolios, which are the chairman position that I mentioned earlier, then vice-chairman, capital markets, digital assets, and consumer protection,” stated Misbakhun firmly.
Misbakhun said the 10 OJK board candidates will undergo the fitness and propriety test on Wednesday. On the same day, Commission XI will immediately determine the five selected names, which will subsequently be formally appointed by the House of Representatives in a plenary session on 12 March 2025.

“These names will undergo the fitness and propriety test by Commission XI on Wednesday, tomorrow. Commission XI has just finished holding a leadership meeting, and the leadership meeting has decided that the fitness and propriety test will take place tomorrow,” Misbakhun concluded.
