Tomorrow, Transjakarta Ride Only Rp1

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is enforcing a public transport fare of just Rp1 for one of its services, Transjakarta, tomorrow, Friday, 24 April 2026, which coincides with National Transportation Day 2026. The Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, stated that the special Rp1 fare applies to all Transjakarta services, both Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and non-BRT. “Through the Rp1 fare, we aim to provide convenience while encouraging more residents to switch to public transport as an efficient and sustainable mobility option,” Ayu said in Jakarta on Thursday. The special fare implementation applies from 00:00 to 23:59 WIB. Meanwhile, for Mikrotrans services, Transjakarta Cares (Transcare), and free services for beneficiary categories, they will continue to operate at Rp0 fare, in accordance with DKI Jakarta Provincial Governor Regulation Number 160 of 2016. Ayu explained that the commemoration of National Transportation Day is an opportunity to encourage the public to become more familiar with public transportation. Furthermore, she emphasised Transjakarta’s commitment to providing safe, comfortable, and inclusive public transport services for all communities. “We hope this momentum can further increase public interest in using public transport, not only during the National Transportation Day commemoration but also as part of a more efficient and environmentally friendly daily mobility lifestyle,” Ayu stated.
