Tomorrow, six Transjakarta routes to operate until 6 p.m. WIB

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) will operate six routes from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. WIB during the commemoration of Indonesia’s Independence Day on 17 August 2026.

Head of Transjakarta’s Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, said in an official statement on Sunday that the six routes are 1B (Palmerah Station–Dukuh Atas Transport Hub), 1H (Tanah Abang–Gondangdia Station), 1P (Senen–Blok M), 1R (Senen–Tanah Abang), 4C (JIEP–Senayan Roundabout), 6A (Ragunan–City Hall via Kuningan), and 6B (Ragunan–City Hall via Semanggi).

These routes normally operate until 10 p.m. WIB.

Ayu urged members of the public planning to travel on 17 August to take note of the service modifications and adjust their travel times accordingly.

“We urge customers to plan their journeys well and to always check for updated information before departing,” she said.

She added that Transjakarta has also deployed staff at several service points to assist passengers during the modification period.

“The 81st anniversary of Indonesia’s independence is a shared celebration. Therefore, we want to ensure that the public still has access to public transport to carry out their activities or enjoy the series of independence celebrations in Jakarta safely and comfortably,” Ayu said.
