Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to invite ulama and Islamic mass organisations (ormas) to attend a breaking-fast event at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, 5 March.
“As usual, the President invites religious figures — ulama — to break the fast, and tomorrow will be the same,” said Nasaruddin Umar, the Minister of Religious Affairs, at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Nasaruddin said the invitation is a routine agenda for President Prabowo to invite religious figures during Ramadan.
He explained that invited guests include religious figures, Islamic mass organisations, and leaders of pesantren, in accordance with the capacity of the room available at the Palace.
“We will discuss the technical details, Alhamdulillah. As usual, as those who are often invited, religious figures, yes, Islamic mass organisations, leaders of pesantren, in line with the capacity of the room available,” Nasaruddin said.
However, he did not disclose further the topics that will be discussed during the meeting between Prabowo and the ulama and Islamic mass organisations.
