Tomorrow, Marcella Santoso and Ary Gadun FM Will Face Judgment Hearing in Judge Bribery Case Over CPO
JAKARTA—Advocate and defendant Marcella Santoso, Ariyanto Bakri, and associates will face a verdict reading hearing for the case of bribery of a judge who issued acquittals for three crude palm oil corporations and obstruction of investigation on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
“Tomorrow (the verdict will be read),” stated the Spokesperson for Jakarta Central District Court, Sunoto, when confirmed by Kompas.com on Monday, 2 March 2026.
The verdict reading will be held for three case clusters.
For the judge bribery cluster, defendants facing verdict are Marcella Santoso, Ariyanto Bakri, Junaedi Saibih as corporate advocate, and Muhammad Syafei as Head of Social Security Legal for Wilmar Group.
Meanwhile, defendants facing the obstruction of investigation case are Junaedi, former Jakarta TV director Tian Bahtiar, and Head of Cyber Army team, popularly known as buzzer, M. Adhiyya Muzakki.
Marcella Santoso and Ariyanto each face charges of 17 years imprisonment and a fine of 600 million rupiah with subsidiary 150 days imprisonment, with additional compensation fines of 21.6 billion rupiah subsidiarily 8 years imprisonment.
Both face charges under Article 6 paragraph (1) letter a in conjunction with Article 18 of the Law on Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Article 20 letter a and Article 607 paragraph (1) letter a of the National Criminal Code.
For the obstruction of investigation cluster, former Jakarta TV News Director Tian Bahtiar and Head of Cyber Army team M. Adhiya Muzakki each face charges of 8 years imprisonment and a fine of 600 million rupiah with subsidiary 150 days imprisonment.
Tian and Adhiya face charges under Article 21 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the National Criminal Code.
