Tomorrow, DKI Population and Civil Registration Office Opens KTP-el Renewal Services Until Evening

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Office (Dukcapil) will open KTP-el recording renewal services until 7:30 PM WIB at all service counters on Friday, 10 April 2026.

Head of the DKI Dukcapil Office, Denny Wahyu Haryanto, stated that the service, named “Jumat Petang”, aims to facilitate residents with high activity levels in visiting service counters.

“Although digital services are already available, not all types of services can be done online, such as KTP-el recording for first-timers among residents aged 16-17 years,” said Denny in Jakarta on Thursday.

The service will be provided on Fridays in the second week of each month at the Kelurahan Population Administration Service Unit according to domicile.

Residents aged 16 and above can already undergo KTP-el recording, starting from face recording (photo), biometric recording, eye retina, and signature, by bringing a family card and birth certificate.

However, currently, less than 10 percent has been achieved, or there are 164,443 souls of residents who have not yet recorded, most of whom are the beginner age group and residents with service time limitations.

“Through the Jumat Petang programme, the DKI Jakarta Dukcapil Office seeks to reach that group,” Denny revealed.

“Jumat Petang” also provides other population administration services, namely Family Cards, Child Identity Cards, incoming transfers especially for new arrivals post-Eid holidays, and civil registrations such as birth certificates and death certificates.

Other additional services include SAPA (Saturday Population Administration Service) in the third week of each month, as well as door-to-door services at schools, residential areas, and offices.
