Tommy Soeharto's Company Announces Resignation of CEO Ari Askhara
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The company affiliated with Tommy Soeharto, PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), has announced the resignation of I Gusti Ngurah Askhara Danadiputra, also known as Ari Askhara, from his position as President Director of the Company.
HUMI management stated that the resignation letter was received by HUMI on 14 August 2026. Ari Askhara’s resignation will become effective after obtaining approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS).
“Until the said EGMS, the management and administration of the Company shall continue to be carried out by the Board of Directors, in accordance with the provisions of the Company’s Articles of Association and the prevailing laws and regulations,” wrote HUMI management in its IDX information disclosure, quoted on Thursday (20/8/2026).
HUMI also confirmed that the resignation has no impact on the Company’s operational activities or legal aspects. In addition, HUMI’s financial condition and business continuity are said to be unaffected by this material information or fact.
Referring to HUMI’s official website, Ari Askhara currently also serves as President Director of PT GTS Internasional Tbk (GTSI). Previously, he served as CEO of PT Sarana Bali Dwipa Jaya as well as Senior Partner of Business Finance at Barid Consultant and Partner at PT TRG Investama in 2023.
Ari also has a long track record at a number of companies, including having served as President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk in 2018. In addition, he has held various strategic positions at PT Pelindo III in 2016, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk in 2016, and PT Amstelco Tbk, which is affiliated with Petrosaudi PE, in 2012.
In the financial sector, Ari has worked at a number of global institutions, including PT ANZ Bank Indonesia in 2014, Standard Chartered Singapore in 2011, and PT Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank AG in 2008. He also worked at PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk in 2005 and began his career at PT Bank Ekspor Impor Indonesia from 1994 to 1999.
In terms of education, Ari completed a Master of Business Administration in International Finance from the University of Indonesia in 2001. He is also a Bachelor of Economics graduate from Gadjah Mada University, majoring in Economics, in 1994.
