Tommy leaves hospital in chopper

JAKARTA: Hutomo "Tommy" Mandala Putra, son of former president
Soeharto, was discharged from the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital on
Monday and left the building in a helicopter.

News portal detik.com quoted a hospital employee as saying
that the helicopter was sent by Nusakambangan Penitentiary
officers to retrieve the convict.

Tommy, who is currently serving time at the penal island for
masterminding the murder of a Supreme Court justice, underwent
tumor surgery to the back of his left eye on April 25.

He had been at the hospital for two weeks to receive
postoperative treatment and therapy. -- JP
