Toll Tariffs for Sinaksak-Simpang Panei Section to Take Effect 17 July 2026

PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) will impose tariffs on the Sinaksak-Simpang Panei toll road, part of the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat (Kutepat) toll road in North Sumatra, starting 17 July 2026.

“The tariff on the Kutepat Toll Road’s Sinaksak-Simpang Panei section will take effect from Friday, 17 July 2026 at 07.00 WIB,” said Hamawas President Director Dindin Solakhuddin in an official statement received in Medan on Wednesday.

He explained that the toll tariff is based on Public Works Ministerial Decree Number 6938/KPTS/M/2026 concerning the Determination of Vehicle Class Categories and Toll Tariff Amounts on the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Toll Road.

“The Sinaksak-Simpang Panei section had previously been operating without a tariff for approximately two and a half months,” he said.

During that period, he said the company actively carried out education and socialisation for the public, road users, and stakeholders as part of preparations for implementing the tariff.

Dindin said the tariff imposition is part of the operational stages of the Kutepat Toll Road in supporting improved inter-regional connectivity in North Sumatra, particularly access to Pematang Siantar, the surrounding Lake Toba area, and other strategic regions.

“We hope the implementation of this tariff will be accompanied by greater awareness among road users to prepare their journeys, comply with driving regulations, and maintain safety while on the road,” he said.

The tariffs for the Sinaksak-Simpang Panei Toll Road, in accordance with Public Works Ministerial Decree Number 6938/KPTS/M/2026, are as follows.

With the tariff coming into effect, Hamawas urged all toll road users to ensure they have sufficient balance on their electronic toll cards and to continue driving in accordance with the regulations.

“The speed limit on the toll road is 60-80 km/h, and the road shoulder is only to be used in emergencies. If users experience difficulties or see emergency conditions on the toll road, they can immediately contact the TollKutepat call centre,” he said.
