Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division (JMT) recorded a significant increase in traffic volume on toll road sections in the Jabodetabek and West Java regions on H+1 of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday. The following is a breakdown of the vehicle traffic volume leaving Jabodetabek towards Merak and towards Puncak Bogor and its surroundings, distributed through Cikupa GT and Ciawi 1 GT. Traffic volume transactions at Cikupa GT towards Merak experienced an increase, with 46,754 vehicles passing through, or an increase of 7.35 per cent compared to normal traffic transactions of 43,554 vehicles. The increase in traffic volume transactions at Ciawi 1 GT towards Puncak Bogor was recorded at 50,673 vehicles, an increase of 54.19 per cent compared to normal traffic transactions of 32,865 vehicles. Widiyatmiko explained that a total of 85,562 vehicles passed through, an increase of 29.54 per cent compared to the normal traffic volume of 66,052 vehicles. Meanwhile, the traffic volume leaving Bandung and Rancaekek towards Jakarta through the same toll gates recorded a traffic volume of 74,975 vehicles passing through. This figure is an increase of 10.19 per cent compared to the normal traffic transaction volume of 68,039 vehicles, with traffic distributed through two toll gates as follows. Traffic volume transactions at that GT increased by 42.66 per cent from normal traffic of 32,764 vehicles. Meanwhile, the return traffic volume transactions heading to Jakarta through Cileunyi GT was recorded at 39,356 vehicles, an increase of 18.76 per cent compared to normal traffic of 33,140 vehicles. At the same time, the traffic volume transactions heading to Bandung city through Pasteur GT was recorded at 38,820 vehicles, an increase of 16.62 per cent compared to normal traffic of 33,288 vehicles. Widiyatmiko advised the public to prepare before travelling by ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy, the driver is in prime condition, paying attention to sufficient fuel and e-toll balance for a comfortable journey. Jasa Marga also advised road users to use only one identical electronic card for payments on toll roads with a closed transaction system such as the Cipularang and Padaleunyi toll sections as well as the JORR II Toll Road, using the same electronic card for transactions when tapping at the entry toll gate and also for tapping at the exit toll gate.
