Toll Road Integration Deemed Important to Provide Solutions for National Logistics Chain
PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, has affirmed its commitment to fully support the toll road integration plan initiated by the government through the Ministry of Public Works. This integration step is considered strategic for improving toll road connectivity and efficiency, smoothing the flow of goods distribution, and lowering national logistics costs.
The effort to refine connectivity is also in line with the directive to strengthen the strategic asset portfolio of state-owned enterprises under the management of Danantara Asset Management (DAM) to create efficient and value-added national infrastructure synergy.
This was stated by Pelindo’s Commercial Director, Farid Padang, at the Public Consultation on the Draft Minister of Public Works Regulation concerning Toll Road Integration Guidelines, organised by the Directorate General of Highways and the Toll Road Regulatory Agency of the Ministry of Public Works on Friday, 14 August 2026.
The public consultation was attended by cross-sector stakeholders, including the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Danantara Asset Management, toll road business entities, the Indonesian Toll Road Association, the Indonesian Transportation Society, the Indonesian Empowered Consumer Forum, and other relevant parties. The participants expressed support for the integration plan under discussion and hoped that its implementation could be realised promptly to provide benefits for toll road users while promoting logistics cost efficiency.
“Pelindo welcomes with optimism the government’s efforts to formulate these toll road integration guidelines as a solution to improve the efficiency of the national logistics chain. We hope this policy can be implemented optimally soon to provide tangible benefits for businesses and the wider community,” said Farid in a written statement.
Toll road integration is seen as a concrete solution to current land connectivity challenges, where logistics vehicles still have to pass through several toll road sections separately with repeated transactions, causing time inefficiency and higher logistics costs.
Pelindo also fully supports the planned integration of the Cibitung–Cilincing Toll Road, the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road/Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Toll Road, and the Tanjung Priok Access Toll Road, to support the smooth flow of logistics to the Tanjung Priok Port area.
