Toll Road Integration Assessed to Cut Logistics Costs
PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, has declared its readiness to support the toll road integration plan initiated by the Ministry of Public Works (PU). Pelindo Commercial Director Farid Padang assessed that the plan could reduce national logistics costs and smooth the flow of goods to and from Tanjung Priok Port.
Farid also considered the connectivity-strengthening measure to be in line with the directive to optimise strategic state-owned enterprise assets under the management of Danantara Asset Management (DAM).
“Pelindo is optimistic in welcoming the government’s efforts to formulate toll road integration guidelines as a solution to improve the efficiency of the national logistics chain. We hope this policy can be implemented optimally as soon as possible,” Farid said at the Public Consultation forum on the Draft Minister of Public Works Regulation concerning Toll Road Integration Guidelines in Jakarta, Sunday (16/8/2026).
The public consultation was attended by cross-sector stakeholders, including the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Danantara Asset Management (DAM), Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT), the Indonesian Toll Road Association (ATI), the Indonesian Transportation Society (MTI), the Indonesian Empowered Consumer Forum (FKBI), and other related parties. The parties expressed support for the integration plan under discussion and hoped its implementation could be realised promptly to benefit toll road users while promoting logistics cost efficiency.
Farid explained that the toll integration scheme offers a solution to the constraints of double handling and repeated transactions, which have caused waste of time and costs for freight transport fleets.
Specifically, Pelindo Group supports the integration of payment systems on the Cibitung–Cilincing Toll Road (JTCC), the Jakarta–Cikampek/MBZ Toll Road, and the Tanjung Priok Access Toll Road (ATP).
President Director of PT CTP Tollways—the operator of the JTCC section—Derry Febrian Putra, affirmed that the integration readiness would optimise the toll road’s role in connecting industrial areas in eastern Jakarta directly to the main port.
“We believe the integration of JTCC with other toll road sections will further enhance JTCC’s function in supporting logistics efficiency in Jakarta and nationally. We are ready to collaborate with all parties,” said Derry.
Pelindo affirmed its commitment to continue synergising with regulators and stakeholders to create globally competitive logistics transportation.
While encouraging efficiency, Farid stressed the importance of maintaining the toll road investment climate so that national connectivity infrastructure development can proceed sustainably.
“Toll road integration is key to strengthening national connectivity and logistics competitiveness,” Farid concluded.
