Toll road earns Rp 740 million

JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned highway corporation PT Jasa Marga received Rp 740.6 million from 139,174 vehicles passing through the Cikampek toll gates from Feb. 15 to 19

Antara reported that the amount was much higher than last year's figure of Rp 195 million.

A total of Rp 213.5 million and Rp 254.5 million was collected on the peak days of Feb. 16, from 33,287 vehicles, and Feb. 17, from 39,595 vehicles, respectively.

The toll varies depending on the type and measurement of vehicles. A sedan is charged Rp 6,500.

The Cikampek toll, which generates at least Rp 2 billion per month, has been the most lucrative among the highways managed by PT Jasa Marga. (sur)
