Toll road death mystery solved

BOGOR (JP): A body found on the Jagorawi toll road on Dec. 25 has been identified as Nipta, 70, a resident of Jl. Mundo RT 05/04 Bogor.

The mystery was solved when Nipta's family claimed the body following a call on Tuesday from an unknown man who informed them of Nipta's death.

The body was found near Citeureup toll gate, and was later sent to the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) General Hospital in Bogor.

Rizal, Nipta's nephew, as quoted by Prahoro of the PMI hospital, said he received a mysterious call on Tuesday at 1 p.m. The caller told him that Nipta was dead and the body was taken to the PMI Hospital.

Rizal then rushed to the hospital and found that the body was his uncle who had not returned home since Dec. 24.

According to Rizal, Nipta was a mini truck driver. He used to carry vegetables to Kramatjati main market, East Jakarta. The truck was rented from Wawan, 45, who lives in East Jakarta.

Rizal quoted one of Nipta's colleagues at Kramatjati market as saying that his uncle had been ordered to deliver a parcel by an unknown man on Dec. 24, before he was found dead.

The case is now being investigated by Bogor Police. (21/04)
