Toll rate hike and poor service
Toll rate hike and poor service
From Media Indonesia
Toll fees in Jakarta have gone up but no improvement has been made to toll road service yet. The following are some examples of poor service that I have noted in the last several days: * The toll road lanes are not well managed because no system has been implemented that ensures commuters observe the rules. For instance, slow-moving vehicles should not use the middle or right lanes as they can slow down traffic and pose a greater threat of collision. * While toll roads are actually freeways, they are littered with pieces of wood and other objects that can be dangerous to cars traveling at speeds of 80 kilometers to 100 km per hour. * There is a lack of information displaying emergency phone numbers for motorists to contact if problems arise, such as reckless driving, robberies or littering.
