Toll Payment Without Stopping Tested Again, Minister Dody Reveals Location
The government is preparing to conduct further trials of the Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) toll payment system within the next few weeks. Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo stated that the trial will involve multiple stakeholders, including the toll road association and the Traffic Corps, which has extended the preparation process. A previous trial in Bali was deemed inconclusive, so the government now plans to conduct tests in Bali and one other location outside Bali, with a site in Java still being sought. Dody emphasised that the upcoming trial must be highly conclusive so that, once completed, a clear decision can be made on whether the system is worth adopting. The government has not yet set a target for full implementation, as it will depend on the trial results and agreement among all involved parties.
