JAKARTA — Vehicle mobility to the eastern region continues to increase following the implementation of toll rate reductions on several Trans-Java toll routes.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded 168,863 vehicles passing towards the east through Cikampek Utama Gate (GT) during the period from 10–7 days before Lebaran or 11–14 March 2026.

Corporate Secretary and Legal Officer of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol Ria Marlinda Paallo stated that this figure represents a significant increase compared to normal conditions. Vehicle volume increased by 41.71 per cent compared to normal traffic, which was recorded at 119,157 vehicles.

“Currently, the number of operational booths serving transactions at GT Cikampek Utama is 30 booths, consisting of 19 booths heading towards Trans-Java and 11 booths heading towards Jakarta,” said Ria in an official statement on Sunday (15 March 2026).

“The operation of these booths is optimised situationally to adjust to the volume of traffic occurring in order to maintain smooth transactions at the toll gate,” she continued.

Traffic engineering measures have not yet been implemented in the area.

As vehicle mobility increases, the Jasa Marga Group has implemented a toll rate discount programme on several Trans-Java routes. This programme aims to provide more economical travel for road users.

“One of these is through a 30 per cent rate reduction for road users who make continuous journeys from GT Cikampek Utama to GT Kalikangkung during the return-home period, which has been in effect since 00.00 WIB on 15 March 2026 until 24.00 WIB on 16 March 2026,” she said.

“Specifically on the Batang–Semarang route managed by PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang (JSB), road users also receive additional toll rate reductions so that the total toll rate reduction received can reach approximately 46 per cent,” she added.

The programme applies to all transactions on the Batang–Semarang route from 12 March to 31 March 2026.

Vehicle traffic from the eastern region towards Jakarta through GT Cikampek Utama also recorded an increase. The number of vehicles reached 108,732 units. This figure increased by 0.83 per cent compared to normal traffic, which was recorded at 107,840 vehicles.

An increase in vehicle volume also occurred on several toll routes managed by JTT Group in Central Java and East Java regions.
