Tokopedia and TikTok Shop's #BeliLokal Programme Generates 2 Million Products, Assists 20,000 Local Entrepreneurs
Senior Director of Tokopedia and TikTok Shop Indonesia, Vonny Ernita Susamto, reported that as of the first quarter of 2026, the #BeliLokal programme has supported more than 20,000 local selected sellers, marking a 30 per cent increase compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the number of Indonesian-made product listings grew by 44 per cent to nearly 2 million products, reflecting growing public interest in local goods. “Through the #BeliLokal programme, we want more Indonesian MSMEs to have the opportunity to grow while also creating a positive impact for the communities around them,” Vonny said in a statement on Wednesday, 15 July 2026. She cited Sakha Coffee as an example of how the programme can help local products thrive within the Tokopedia and TikTok Shop ecosystem. Vonny explained that Sakha Coffee’s achievements demonstrate that when local products become easier for consumers to find, the benefits extend beyond business growth. “Behind it are jobs created, farmers gaining wider market access, and a stronger local supply chain,” she said. Founder of Sakha Coffee Roastery, Teuku Andi Nova Reza, confirmed this, acknowledging that since its establishment in 2018, Sakha Coffee has utilised Tokopedia and TikTok Shop to reach customers from various regions across Indonesia. “Currently, around 40 per cent of Sakha Coffee’s total sales come from these two platforms, making them one of the company’s main sales channels,” Andi said. Beyond expanding market reach, content has also transformed how Sakha Coffee interacts with customers. Through short videos, LIVE Shopping, and collaborations with creators, the public not only buys coffee but also learns the story behind each Indonesian coffee origin, the brewing methods, and the flavour characteristics of each product. Interestingly, the LIVE Shopping sessions also attract business owners such as coffee shop proprietors, who make purchases for their business needs. This experience shows how content not only connects sellers with consumers but also opens up new opportunities for fellow business operators.
